Ervin Replay — Four Modern Scene Updates

After revealing Ervin (Person 64) in Part 2, replay four modern memories with the forgotten participant added — Attic, Billiard, Study, and Kitchen codes.

Why Codes Change After Person 64

In Part 2, the Seance Machine tracks present-day staff (Persons 64–75). Early modern scenes may load with a shorter participant list before the forgotten figure is restored to the record. Once Ervin (#64) is revealed, four earlier memories show he was present — the machine rejects the old code until person 64 is included.

This is a common blocker for 100% completion and the Ervin Revealed achievement. Community guides (9Puz, GameSpew) agree on four replay slots; some early launch lists only documented three or mislabeled the Kitchen scene as time 32 instead of 31.

Troubleshooting Rejected Codes

If a reconstruction fails despite a correct-looking room and time:

  1. Confirm the Admin card is active for times 27–32.
  2. Check whether Person 64 is unlocked in the notebook.
  3. Try the expanded participant set from the table above — silent or forgotten guests count even when dialogue focuses on others.
  4. Use the staged hint system before brute-forcing; the July 15 patch adjusted hint behaviour.

Frequently Asked Questions

Three or four replays?

Four scenes per community completion guides: Attic 27, Billiard 29, Study 30, Kitchen 31.

Is 32-KI-66 valid?

No — Kitchen replay uses time 31 (31-KI-66 → 31-KI-64-66). Time 32 is 32-CH-64 (Chapel).

Can I replay before the story prompt?

The expanded codes only work after Ervin (#64) is identified in the notebook.
